I totally agree with every single sentence in this article. My company design and sell smart cane with fall detection, geofence, etc. targeted for elderlies. Our product is available, but sales is not going anywhere. Tech support and public awareness are the keys here. The Internet isn't helping much at all. We might have to go back 40 years and use the knock-on-door technique.

Jokes aside I do think partnering with trusted institutions / professionals and (even better) reimbursement mechanisms have to be a critical part of the strategy from the start for DTC AgeTech.
